Where is my time?????

Holy moly have we been busy!?  I have so much to record but time is slipping by faster than I can move.  Last weekend the girls and I headed to Virginia for two reasons, aside of visiting my wonderful family, and that was to see the Cherry Blossoms in DC and I had a tasting with a caterer for my 20 year high-school reunion that my bestie and I are planning.

I love DC in the spring yet I never get to visit these days so when my mailbox was bombarded with all the fun activities of the Cherry Blossom Festival I figured the girls are at a fun age to start exploring all that the city has to offer.

Unfortunately the weather was not cooperating so we drove around looking at all the gorgeous trees in full bloom before heading to one of my favorite DC buildings; The Building Museum.  We didn’t actual drive around the Tidal Basin because there were so many tour buses and keeping kids trapped in a car to look at trees loses its luster fast!

The Building Museum has events for Easter every year but this year was exceptional because it was the 100th birthday of the trees, which as you know were a gift from Japan.  The event was awesome.  There were tons of activities for the girls to do and stage performers from all over the US.  A wonderful Atlanta girls’ choir was there and then the DC dance troop, which completely captivated the girls.  I wish I had more pictures but being over-scheduled these days has made me lose my mind and with that comes forgetting my good camera.

I’ve posted a few pictures from our fun weekend.

Enjoying the obnoxious and ill-captured pictures?
