My lovely friends daughter is turning 4 and she wrote this on her facebook status the eve of.  It brought tears to my eyes it was so sweet.  I will think about these exact words on December 21,2012.

Thanks for letting me share!  We can’t wait to celebrate with you tomorrow!

“I really love the age “3″. A 3 year old is little enough to pop on your hip when you need to cross the street but big enough to walk at a park or a mall without a stroller. Little enough to fall asleep on your lap before you carry her up to bed and big enough to stay in bed when she gets there. A 3 year old loves to dress herself but still lets you pick out her clothes (usually). She loves to kiss you and tell you she loves you in front of anyone and everyone but is big enough to run off and play without being too shy or cautious so long as you’re nearby. She’s big enough to say grace before meals but little enough to mispronounce the words in the most innocent adorable way. My 3 year old just went to bed as a 3 year old for the last time. These Thompson kids grow much too fast!”
