Concert on the Greens

Last Thursday Steve had off so we headed to Lighthouse Sound for their Concert on the Green Series. Lighthouse is a beautiful golf course/restaurant on the water in Bishopville, MD, just outside of Ocean City.

In the summer they have local bands play twice a month for free. It’s a total family event with tons of other kids running around having a great time. There are beer stands set up with hotdogs and hamburgers or you can head inside where there is a full bar.

I’ve been avoiding going because I didn’t want to venture out on my own with the girls to an event like this. I finally decided to suck it up. If it wasn’t what I thought or if I found that it wasn’t kid friendly then I just had to go home. What’s the big deal, suck it up lady. But, as fate would have it, Steve had off so I didn’t truly face a fear.

The girls and I will definitely be joining every Concert on the Greens. There are very few places around here that are family friendly and certainly no places that have bands playing on the water. Who wants to be stuck at the playground or inside or what is our normal, house hopping.

I want to be outside on a blanket, listening to music with a beer in hand while the girls have a great time. Thanks Lighthouse!! Be sure to follow them on facebook for all the amazing events they have year round.
