Sometimes there is just nothing left to do but laugh as my good buddy, Pat W says. After a day full of rain, I’m drained and feeling whiny myself. I am sitting in my husband’s recliner as L pulls the most annoying loud toy around the island of the house banging it off each and every wall possible and H is literally hitting me because I am blocking them out. OH LOOK, it worked she walked away but only to attack L for the toy L isn’t sharing. I don’t know why I am chuckling. It started about 5 minutes ago, hold on I’m yelling…I’m back. Poor H. I just told her to get out of my face until she stops whining and in the same breath I told her to come back so I could try to help her understand what is going on. Anyway, so as I was blindly preoccupied reading one of my favorite blogs, I hear what I thought was the toilet seat clink. I walk downstairs and find both girls have taken stools to the kitchen sink and H is encouraging L as she is spraying Windex on all my clean dishes. I just stood right next to her until she noticed me at which point she dropped the bottle, jumped off the stool and ran into the playroom where she shouted “Look Mommy I got you a present” which was a busted up pile of books and then she shouted “happy birthday Mommy!” What a stinker! I just laughed.
