If you are breastfeeding then you know how frustrating life can be.  As if the task alone isn’t difficult enough you have to worry about leaking boobs, engorgement, pumping and offending strangers as you nurse just to name a few.

With my first set of twins I tried many different breast pads and found that I liked the thin Madela ones the best however two things always bothered me about their pads:

  1. they are not smooth or flat so you can’t wear a fitted shirt; they crinkled a little
  2. they moved around unless you used the sticky backs and even those shifted

I just didn’t think they were the best even though they were the best of the options.

However, Bamboobies make breast pads made of “ultra-soft and soothing organic cotton and bamboo rayon velour with an inner layer of hemp and organic cotton, these nursing pads are ultra-absorbent and ultra-eco.”

In other words it’s like Heaven on your breasts.

They are thin and super absorbent so you can wear what you want without fear of lines showing or leaking.  You also can’t feel when they do get wet.  Other breast pads tend to feel wet or cold; you know what I’m talking about and it’s not fun!

I love these so much I take them out so breastfeeding Mothers can feel how soft they are.  Gross?  Maybe but not one has ever said anything but how soft they felt!

It took me a few weeks to write this post because I wanted to see the wear and tear factor on them.  I have washed them a few dozen times with my regular load and toss them in the dryer and they have held up great!

In fact the edges curve which makes them form to your breast even better; it almost cups them.

Now if none of that convinces you then think of how much better for  your wallet and the environment they are!

So needless to say I LOVE these and have purchased more.

I also use the night pads which are bigger and thicker than the cute heart shape but really hold up well and are just as soft!

Next this amazing company sent me their nursing cover.  Nursing cover?  Seriously this is the cutest shawl I have ever seen.  I wear it all the time and even drape it around my neck like a scarf.

WHY?  Because it is just as soft as the silky breast pads.  This company using the best materials!!

The nursing shawl is made of “bamboo and organic cotton fabric,  the super-soft lightweight jersey.”  This explains the softness.  It is so breathable and cozy for the little ones to snuggle under.  Additionally it provides plenty of stretch but doesn’t lose shape.

Every time I wear it I get tons of compliments.  This is going to be a permanent part of my wardrobe long after the littles are done nursing.

  1. I love the.night pads! My bfing tip is don’t stress Bout how you are doing or your supply, instead find a supportive lactation consultant

  2. You are just so absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I wish I had that shawl when I was nursing!! And you are so right- nursing alone, is a full time job! And you have TWO to nurse… amazing.

  3. My best nursing tip would be having patience and letting go of expectations. I have no goals as to how long I will nurse or how much. Life with twins is chaotic by itself there’s no need to add more pressure to it.

  4. With our 2nd LO on the way I have been looking for the best option for reusable nursing pads. While I don’t remember (nor did I keep up) with the cost of the disposable nursing pads I used with our first I do remember how often we purchased them, and it really adds up overall. Bamboobies seem like the right choice and I am definitely looking forward to giving them a try! Thank you for sharing your experience with them!

  5. I’ve heard so many fantastic things about bamboobies over the last 3 years.
Unfortunately I was done breastfeedinh my twins by the time I found out about them.
Now that I’m expecting again, I’ll definitely be trying these this time around 🙂

  6. Best advice is to be comfortable and feed baby where it’s nice and cozy I prefer the couch with my knees up to help support baby

  7. I love Bamboobies. Disposables cause me to break out because of my super sensitive skin but bamboobies are a little bit of heaven for my boobies.

  8. Best nursing tips…. Surround yourself with people that support you. Enjoy the moment, don’t get distracted with you phone, FB, or other silly things that will still be there later on. Such a precious time with your little!!

  9. Make sure you have a comfy place to sit that supports your back. Also make sure you have water, snacks, and an outlet for your phone charger.

  10. I am 100% brand new, can’t wait for my baby to get here in a month, to breast feeding. So far, these products are the best and most highly recommended products. Loved the review. Great information. thank you.

  11. I would love to try these. The pads I have now always leak. Baby is 4 months old and I still leak like crazy. Been wanting to try bamboobies but don’t have the money to buy them

    • They are great! I’ve never had one leak on me and I’ve asked a LOT out of them.
If you don’t win don’t forget you have 2 weeks to use the coupon code to get 20% off. Might be worth it compared to the cost of disposables.

  12. Additionally, try baby in different positions if one way doesn’t work for you, try another. It can make all the difference for you and baby. And try a nursing scarf they are amazing and to airy, so more sweaty mama or baby

  13. Number 2 is on the way and these seem like the perfect solution to problems I had while nursing my first! I have never found a perfect nursing cover so I would always go to places that I knew were “nursing friendly”. I look forward to the special quiet time with my new little one.

  14. I LOVE Bamboobies! I leaked heavily for the first 3 months, so I used the overnights all day every day. I was given some disposables and used them once on a trip and hated them. I started with Bamboobies & will never use anything else! My tip is not to stress out. Make friends with other breastfeeding Mom’s and just talk. Don’t be afraid to contact a lactation consultant. They exist for a reason!

  15. Hello there! Quick question that’s entirely off topic.
Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My weblog looks weird when viewing from my iphone.

I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to fix this issue.
If you have any suggestions, please share.
    Appreciate it!

  16. I tend not to write a ton of comments, however i did a few
searching and wound up here BAMBOOBIES Giveaway | New2Two.
And I do have 2 questions for you if you
tend not to mind. Could it be just me or does it give the impression like a few of the responses appear like they are coming from
brain dead individuals? 😛 And, if you are writing at additional places, I
would like to follow everything new you have to post.
