I don’t even know how to explain how much I LOVE this product. It is just fantastic!
When my big girls were little, just one year old, I would take them to the YMCA and with just arm floaties, we would get in the water, one at a time and I taught them to swim.
By the time they were one and a half I could bring them both in the pool and float around with them. That was one of the best moments because we all love the water and are in the water all the time especially in the summer.
It was torture for the few months getting to the safety point. (And for bragging rights L was swimming at three without any floating device and H was not far behind.)
Anyway, I was never able to take them alone when they were babies. It was too difficult so unless someone was with me and willing to hold a baby in the water, we just chilled at home.
Alas the brilliant child duo float! I used it all last week and have to say it is phenomenal; by far my absolute favorite twin product out there.
Of course it was easier when we used a compressor to blow it up but I still managed on my own at other times.
I would get in the pool and someone would hand each baby to me and we would float around. However alone after I blew it up, I set it by the pools edge and placed the babies in each float, like they were lounging, feet up not in the leg holes. I would hop in the water and then pull it gently in the water. Once we were all in I would adjust them.
They love it! They kick and squeal at each other with the biggest smiles. All this excitement led to wonderful afternoon naps!
The big girls are definitely to big to play in it but our three year old friend, with some chunky little thighs was able to get in; a little tight but she enjoyed herself for a minute or two.
The only thing I would like to see different or altered would be a sun top or umbrella type of covering, but other than that it is wonderful.
We still have a solid month of water fun but truthfully next year will be amazing when they are really ready for the water!
Oh beware for teethers. My little ones can’t seem to get a hold of it in order to pop it but they certainly tried! This of course goes with any plastic blow up item.
I would not recommend for any little one who can’t hold her head up on her own.
And thanks to my wonderful friends at Stuff 4 Multiples I get to give away one of these duo pool floats to one lucky lucky reader!
