Madness on the Plaza

Typically I go crazy during the holiday months with projects, activities and adventures with the girls but Easter just slipped through my hands this year.  We didn’t even decorate until a few days before Sunday!

We didn’t hit a single parade or Easter egg hunt nor did we have our traditional gathering.   I didn’t even get them dresses but luckily I went through some hand-me-downs and scored big! Whew!

Anyway this is the first post of many documenting what actually turned out to be a fantastic holiday.

I was quickly reminded of why we started our traditional Easter Egg hunt at the house when, last minute, we decided to meet up with some friends for the first annual Plaza Egg Hunt.  HOLY CHAOS!  Why hasn’t anyone figured out a better system for these things!?

I was absolutely petrified when L darted off in front of me and was swallowed up in the crowd.  Luckily my Motherly madness swooped her up before disaster occurred.  H, of course, was devastated from the beginning and wouldn’t let go of my hand.

That is officially our last hunt until they are much older.  L did get about 10 eggs before I stopped her and we left to go to the bouncy house.  After kids, literally, ripped my H’s hand from mine to get to some eggs I was done.  It wasn’t worth it especially since the eggs were mostly filled with candy L couldn’t eat.

Anyway it was fun for a one time thing.   Sorry town but until there is more control this is one family that will not be returning.
