We Love Sports

I think it’s super important for the girls to be involved with sports.  Studies have show that it is extremely good for their ego and keeps kids out of trouble.  I love it for those reasons but also for the entertainment factor, the health- both physically and mentally and the friendships they make.

This is the perfect age for figuring out what they enjoy before the expense gets overwhelming.  I wish they enjoyed soccer the most because it seems the most cost effective for our budget but lacrosse and gymnastics seems to be where they are headed.  I do love ballet but I think it’s too slow for them; they need more action!

  1. Great pictures, such cuties!
My kids both did Aikido when we still lived in Germany, and I wish they would offer that where we live now.
My son plays soccer now and my daughter likes to run. She gets her workout as a dishwasher in her weekend job as well 😉

  2. We just started soccer & our almost 5 year old is in LOVE already, though her father has been priming her for it since she could walk. You have some fantastically active girls!

  3. My kids haven’t done any sports yet, except my oldest daughter, who took a ballet class last summer. My oldest isn’t interested. I’m going to enroll my two girls in some kind of dance class this summer, though, definitely. I love these pictures, especially the running soccer one!

  4. I would love to get Lil Duck into gymnastics! There is so much to gain from those classes. Looks like you stay busy and have lots of fun!!

  5. I love getting my kids into activities too! Our rule is one per child per season. Right now Leo is in piano. Gus has soccer. Matilda does gymnastics. The baby happily goes to all events with us and runs me ragged. We like to let them choose. Like you said, nice to see where their interests go before it costs an arm and a leg!
